The 8 speed Shimano Acera gears give you plenty of range to get going, get up hills, and get up to cruising speed of 20-25km on the flat.
Quick release seat post
Change riders in a jiffy with the quick release seat post clamp. The range of adjustment allows riders from 5’2 to 6’5 to comfortably ride.
Dual front disk brakes
Dual front Bengal mechanical disk brakes make stopping a breeze, even in the wet, with front Tektro and rear Magura Hydraulic Disk brakes also available for super stopping power.
Puncture resist kevlar tyres
Getting flat tyres sucks! So we’ve put puncture proof 2″ kevlar balloon tyres on the bike to minimise your chances of getting caught out and for super comfort.
Comfort handlebars
Swept back handlebars with leather grips make for a comfortable upright riding position, with height adjustability for a wide range of rider heights.
Gas Spring Steering Damper
Steering dampers reduce side to side wobble and make the bike safer to ride at higher speeds.
Anti tip frame technology
You need to take turns slower on a 3 wheel bike as the bike does not tilt into the turn. Anti tip frame technology helps counteract these forces and make turning safer.
Versatile rear rack
Both electric and non electric bikes come with a versatile rear rack able to carry 27kg. Add a 5th child with a rear bike seat or just a bunch more gear!
Integrated park brake
The front & rear brakes include a park brake allowing you to park your bike and not have it roll away. This is really handy, trust us!
Four 3-point seat belts
Each bike comes with four removable 3-point seatbelts for your kids (and their friends!). Seatbelts can be easily adjusted depending on child height and include chest straps for smaller kids. Easily remove un-needed seatbelts with no tools required.
Fold up front bench
Fold up the front bench when not being used to up your cargo storage game. Drop the kids at school and pick up a week’s worth of groceries. Simply fold the bench back down again when it’s time to pick up the kids.
Lockable storage bench
Keep your spare tubes, and rain cover out of sight in the storage bench under the seat closest to the rider, plus lock up your helmets and valuables when you stop. Don’t need lockable space? the storage box can be easily removed.
Cart step for big kid access
Big kids love to climb in and out of the cart themselves. We found they’d step on the fender to climb in and out, so we added this anti slip step for easier access.
Durable 9mm marine plywood
Our carts are made of durable 9 mm marine plywood painted with a polyurethane coating. With proper care you’ll get years of outdoor use out of it.
Protective rubber liner
Skateboards, scooters and bikes get hung over our carts, causing damage to the top edge of the box. So we added a rubber strip to keep it protected.
250w Dapu Hub Motor
The 250w Hub Motor on the Electric Assist version comes with 35Nm of torque. It takes you to 25kmh, is quiet and makes riding your Tribe Bike fun!
36v 13Ah Battery pack
Our batteries provide up to 50km of riding and take 6-8 hours to fully charge. It can be easily removed for charging and cells are packed in expanding foam to reduce the risk of anything coming loose.
Control panel with 6 modes
Your control panel gives you 6 modes of electric assist, has a battery charge indicator, a speedo and an odometer.
Built in tail light
The battery includes a built in tail light ensuring you and your tribe are easy to spot when the light is poor. The light turns on from the handlebars.
Cargo Box mounted headlights
Not one, but two headlights mounted on the cargo box light up the road for those evening adventures.

Like magic a torque sensor knows the pressure you are putting on pedals and kicks the motor in exactly when you need a little push!
The Tribe Original Electric Plus is designed for those that need the most oomph from their electric assist. With a powerful mid drive motor, it provides over twice the power of the standard hub drive motor, and eats up all but the steepest hills. When you get up hills you’ve got to safely get back down, so we’ve paired it with hydraulic disk brakes, normally reserved for high end mountain bikes, to maximise your stopping power.
250w integrated Bafang Mid Drive Motor
the 250w Mid Drive Motor comes with over 80Nm of torque. It takes you to 25kmh, is near silent and makes riding your Tribe Bike fun!
Control panel with 5 modes
The 5 mode control panel has been programmed to get the most out of hill riding. Crank it up to level 5 for the steepest hills.
Front & Rear Hydraulic Disk Brakes
The front and rear Hydraulic Brakes, specifically designed for cargo bikes give you maximum stopping power even when descending steep hills. The front lever includes an integrated park brake.

Warranty
Our warranty is awesome because we stand by our product and take care of our customers. We guarantee our bikes and accessories against manufacturer defects for a full year. We are a small company and easy to work with – customer satisfaction is number one!
The following components are covered under our 12 month warranty:
- The battery and motor system;
- Wooden panels of cargo box, including delamination but excluding deterioriation of wood caused by penetration of the protective surface by wear and tear, deep scratches or excessive weather (rain).
- Non wear and tear items, including: Frame, Fenders, Saddle, Seat Post, Brake Calipers, Brake Levers, Gear Shifter, Rear Rack, Pivot shaft and bearings.
